The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Institutional Giving, Corporate Membership who will be responsible for managing the Museum’s multi-tier corporate membership program, including stewardship and ongoing solicitation of corporate members and donors around MoMA exhibitions and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for stewardship and ongoing solicitation of corporate members and donors to MoMA exhibitions and programs.
- Develops and implements annual and long-term Corporate Membership strategy and goals to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects.
- As main point of contact for MoMA Corporate Membership program, ensures positive onboarding experience, warm ongoing communication, and retention of Corporate Member companies. Conducts ongoing stewardship, including in-person meetings, tours, and visits.
- Coordinates barters and in-kind agreements related to Marketing and Communications, Retail, Special Events, IT, and other departments as needed.
- Collaborates with colleagues in curatorial, Communications, Marketing, Membership, Retail, Special Events, and other areas to keep donors informed about Museum exhibitions and programs.
- Works with Marketing Manager to generate regular and ad hoc reports and communications to assist donors in assessing the use of their partner benefits, impressions gained, and overall return on marketing investment.
- Actively works to present upsell opportunities to donors around Corporate Membership upgrades, Museum benefit tickets and tables, corporate entertaining, retail purchases and licensing, gift membership, and exhibition and program sponsorship.
- Greets and escorts VIPs as needed.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and five to 10 years of progressively responsible corporate and/or sponsorship fundraising experience, including donor portfolio management and staff management.
- Passion for modern and contemporary art.
- Superior interpersonal/verbal and written communications, professional negotiating skills, and diplomacy.
- Superior organizational and project management skills, with ability to work independently and proactively under strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
- Aptitude with budgets and financial documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce or other CRM database systems.
- Proficiency in at least one language, in addition to English, preferred.
- Some evening and weekend work required.
Reports to: Director of Institutional Giving
Salary Range: Minimum of $80,000 to a maximum of $130,000 per annum
