  Crafted Highlights:    

 The Technician 3 - Packaging position operates and maintains packaging area equipment including packers, fillers, labelers, seamers, depalletizes, palletizers, wrappers, and other associated equipment while leading the team in WCSC 2.0 fundamentals.  Executes autonomous maintenance as the leader of the line while coaching and supporting Equipment Owners on continuous improvement efforts around safety, quality, and cost.   

What You’ll Be Brewing:  

• Responsible for operating, understanding, and rotating through all pieces of packaging equipment. 

• Responsible for following the leadership fundamentals of WCSC 2.0. 

• Responsible for the sanitation of all equipment on the assigned line. 

• Must complete reporting concerning productivity, quality, safety, maintenance, line information, manpower schedule, station control, waste monitoring, or training records in an accurate, timely and legible manner. 

• Must perform line checks, assist with accident investigations/follow-up, assist with hazard analysis, assist with audits, and attend meetings as required. 

• Must read and interpret packaging schedules, job procedures or work instructions, and any special notices and/or instructions. 

• Responsible for communicating with the team on all matters pertaining to the overall operation and function of equipment in the process area. 

• Leads the team on effective shift Daily Direction Settings (DDS). 

• Partners with Line Leader, Process Leader and Training Specialist to implement training plans. 

• Onboards new team members according to the standard onboarding process. 

• Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities with maintenance, quality, asset care, and other specialists as required. 

• Responsible for assisting management with process changes and adjustments to standard operating procedures. 

• Responsible for supporting the team in working safely, completing (Quick Risk Predictor) QRP before performing a job, coaching team on safety triggers, and explaining EHS key metrics.. 

• Responsible for teaching Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP standards, using QFS triggers, and modeling the Quality Behavior Observation System (QBOS), and cooperating with Quality on Global Managing Non-Conforming Product Procedure.. 

• Responsible for assisting in the implementation and workings of WCSC 2.0 – problem solving, WCSC Fundamentals, and budget decisions related to PMs, constraints, labor, and other performance concerns. 

• Responsible for autonomous maintenance of valves, motors, pumps, filter and gear boxes including lubricating all machinery, making necessary operational adjustments, troubleshooting identified issues, and ensuring equipment is running efficiently producing a quality product. 

• Responsible for adherence to published schedules and knowledge/expertise to make solid business decisions on shift basis, in modification of schedule as required. 

Key Ingredients:  

• High school education or equivalent required 

• Ability to obtain a Fork truck license 

• Knowledge in MS Outlook and MS Word 

• High level of mechanical aptitude/ability 

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Food Procedures, and Safety 

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.  

• Must have achieved the Technician skillset  

• 3 years in manufacturing experience in an operator based maintenance role – performing set-up, operation, changeover, and maintenance of equipment, systems, and tooling, or a minimum of an associates degree.  Military service may be substituted for manufacturing experience.   

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions in a team based setting. 

• Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays. 

• Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary.
