The Headlines:
In the role of Research & Development (R&D) Packaging Technologist II, working in Milwaukee, WI you will assist in Packaging Development projects, perform brewery line trials, and lead Package Testing on site in the Packaging Lab. You will work with other team members of the R&D Packaging team around Sustainability, Innovation, Cost Savings, and Process Improvements.
This position reports to the Sr. R&D Packaging Manager, and works closely with other internal partners including Quality, Innovation, Technical Services and Breweries.
The Responsibilities:
• Assisting Packaging Engineers in project support
• Innovation research – Tech scouting
• Package Test Plans (PTP) in breweries
• Package Lab Testing
o Vibration Table, 3D Printer, 3D Scanner
o Corrugate/Fiber Sample Table
o Impact Tester, Instron Testing
• Trend Analysis of packaging related quality issues
• Competitive research
The Other Qualifications:
• You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging or related field.
• 2 years of experience in packaging or associated consumer goods industry
• You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
• You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
• You take ownership of one’s own work, driving to completion.
