I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the Senior Radiologic Technologist.
- Performs a variety of Radiologic and CT procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, finger dexterity, lifting weight up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying weight up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous: Seeing, hearing, speaking, stooping/bending, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time.
- Operates X-ray, CT, DEXA, and Mammography QA/QC.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Both inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat and cold (temperature and duration), noise and/or vibration, hazardous physical conditions, and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or skin.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Current Hawaii State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to be able to communicate effectively with medical staff.
- Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- One-year experience as a Radiologic CT Technologist in an acute care facility preferred.
