Pricebook Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Price Book Analyst to oversee the pricing strategy and inventory management of our convenience stores. The Price Book Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate pricing, managing promotional pricing, updating product information, and ensuring that price changes are communicated and implemented across all systems. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the store’s price book, ensuring that all product prices are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect any company or market pricing adjustments.
• Update pricing regularly in the store’s point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
• Collaborate with the Divisional Manager to set pricing strategies, including promotional pricing, discounts, and markdowns.
• Conduct regular price audits to ensure pricing accuracy across all store displays and shelves.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with store teams to adjust prices based on stock levels, cost changes, or market conditions.
• Communicate pricing changes to store staff, ensuring that all employees are informed of updates and can assist customers effectively.
• Implement and manage pricing for seasonal products, new arrivals, and clearance items.
• Review competitor pricing to ensure the store remains competitive and adjusts prices as necessary.
• Assist with store promotions and sales events, ensuring pricing and product availability align with promotional strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pricing discrepancies or issues raised by staff or customers.
• Generate reports on pricing, sales trends, and inventory performance to assist with decision-making and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pricing, including taxes and special product pricing.
• Train staff on the importance of accurate pricing and how to handle pricing-related issues at the point of sale.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or retail management experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills
• 1-2 years of experience in retail pricing, inventory management, or similar roles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage large volumes of data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Basic understanding of pricing strategies, inventory management, and cost structures.
• Proficient with point-of-sale (POS) systems and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pricing updates quickly.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling physical tasks like stocking and organizing pricing materials.
