Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise transaction processing
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items like wines, spirits, or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and give correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and ensure sanitation standards are upheld throughout service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless guest experiences in both lunch and dinner settings
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining environments or high-volume settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety practices enhances your ability to serve confidently
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and basic math for cash handling ensures smooth operations
- OpenTable or reservation system experience is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
