What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Nursing Faculty, Pediatrics/Maternal-child Health position at Molloy College?
The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University seeks a full-time nursing faculty member with a strong clinical background in pediatric and maternal-child nursing and enthusiasm for teaching to join our supportive and energetic community of teacher-scholars. Our nursing programs take a holistic and personal approach to the development of students as competent and compassionate clinicians, leaders, and advocates for health equity and improvement of healthcare, and as lifelong learners. The position will offer the candidate the opportunity to teach and mentor students, primarily in the undergraduate nursing programs. Opportunities to work with doctoral and graduate students and to participate as scholarly project and/or dissertation faculty, aligned with program needs, may also be available. In addition, the candidate will have opportunities to participate in interprofessional education, provide effective and caring student advisement, engage in scholarly activities, and serve the program, school, university, and community.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:
Eligible for unrestricted licensure as an RN in New York State
Minimum of a master's degree in nursing; Doctoral degree preferred
Doctoral degree required for tenure- track appointment
5 years of experience in maternal-child and/or pediatric nursing
Experience in nursing education, higher education, and research-preferred
Certification in clinical specialty- preferred
Salary Information:
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000. Candidates whose experience and qualifications align with the rank of Associate Professor may also be considered; compensation will be determined accordingly. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
