The Department of Communications at Molloy University invites applications to teach courses in their Public Relations and Corporate Communications track, starting Fall 2026. Courses may include Experiences in Communication, Introduction Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Advertising.

 

Candidates must have:

  • Master’s degree or terminal degree in Communications or closely related field
  • A history of at least two years of successful teaching experience at the college level or accredited institution.
  • At least one year of professional experience in advertising, public relations or related field.

  • A copy of diploma for applicant’s highest degree earned.

The adjunct faculty members are responsible for:

    • Preparing and deliver face-to-face instruction to undergraduate students in collaboration with the department’s Chairperson and other faculty;
    • Employ a range of effective strategies to foster engagement and encourage active learning in all students;
    • Assess and evaluate student coursework and provide constructive feedback that promotes student learning and academic growth;
    • Maintain regular availability to meet with students outside of class to address course-related questions.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community of learners and contribute positively to the academic environment.

Salary Information:

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as discipline specific knowledge, skills, education and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $1,200.00 per credit (Undergraduate Instructor).  To $1,357.00 per credit (Graduate Assistant Professor). This range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
