Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various machinery and tools, ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, flexo presses, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for efficient production flow.
- Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of output.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in programming CNC machines using CAD software and CAM programming techniques as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in operating Fanuc programmable logic controllers and other automated machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, and welding.
- Familiarity with basic math principles for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Ability to work with hand tools and perform assembly tasks effectively.
- Experience in quality control processes within a manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is preferred.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Capability to operate forklifts for materials handling tasks is a plus.
