Manages daily operations of daily construction sites acting as primary lead responsible for completing projects. They hire sub-contractors, obtain permits, manage budgets, ensure safety compliance and coordinate material procurement and scheduling. They work 32 hours often overseeing residential or commercial projects from groundbreaking to finale inspection.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Project Planning & Management: Reviewing blueprints, setting timelines, and managing the overall construction process.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Hiring, managing, and paying subcontractors (e.g., plumbers, electricians) to complete specific tasks.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Developing cost estimates, tracking expenses, and managing the project budget.
- Site Safety & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Permitting & Inspection: Securing necessary building permits and coordinating inspections with local authorities.
- Material & Supplier Management: Sourcing and ordering necessary materials and equipment for the job site.
- Client Communication: Providing regular progress updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
