Paper Cutter Operator

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of safety and order in all areas of the Lining Department. This job requires frequent interactions with other employees. Must be able to work well with other employees. Candidate must be self-motivated and prepared to take initiative. Maintain liner and equipment needed for production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work Safely at all times 
• Maintain 5S & participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Works well in a team environment
• Responsible for the timely delivery and removal of lining material to lining machines
• Maintains inventory accuracy of liner going into and out of inventory locations
• Can use a scanner
• Can Identify Quality and continuous improvements opportunities.
• Support team members as needed 
• Seek out assistance from direct supervisor/manager as needed
• Be RESULTS oriented 

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Overtime when business needs dictate
• Good ergonomics (heavy lifting)
• Good math skills (test will be given)
• Ability to measure with a ruler to 1/32”
• Ability to obtain a forklift license and use other material handling equipment
• High school diploma or GED*
• Experience and general knowledge of lining procedures preferred

*Demonstrated equivalent education and experience will be considered

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to walk, sit and/or stand for up to 11.75 hours per day. 
• May be required to reach with hands and arms. 
• As needed, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs and lift to 50 lb
