Job Overview
This role is ideal for a qualified asbestos professional who can independently manage and execute large commercial asbestos inspection and assessment projects from day one. In this role, you will also oversee and manage other asbestos inspectors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and in full regulatory compliance.
You will conduct inspections, oversee project execution, prepare detailed technical reports, and maintain strong client relationships.
In addition to asbestos work, you will be trained in our mold inspection processes with the goal of eventually handling large commercial mold projects as well.
This position is not intended for entry-level or trainee candidates.
Responsibilities
- Conduct asbestos inspections and assessments for commercial and residential properties
- Manage and execute large-scale commercial asbestos projects
- Supervise and coordinate work of asbestos inspectors and field staff
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with regulations
- Collect bulk samples and ensure compliance with all regulatory protocols
- Perform or oversee air monitoring as needed
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional technical reports
- Communicate findings, scope, and updates to clients and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal asbestos regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Participate in training for mold assessment services and expand into mold project work over time
Experience/Qualifications
- Must hold current asbestos licensing/certifications required by TDSHS (Texas Department of State Health Services), including:
- Asbestos Inspector
- Management Planner
- Project Designer
- Air Monitoring Technician
- Must hold current EPA AHERA certification
- Proven experience managing or leading commercial asbestos projects
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Background:
- Strong experience in environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, or related field
- Experience working on large commercial, industrial, or multi-site projects
- Experience with smoke and/or fire damage testing is a plus
- Additional certifications (CIH or related) are a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage teams, multiple projects, and deadlines
- Proficiency with computers/tablets and report writing software
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including construction sites, confined spaces, and outdoors

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
