Job Title: Senior VoIP / Unified Communications Engineer Location: New York, NYDuration: 1 MonthWe are seeking a seasoned Senior VoIP / Unified Communications Engineer to provide remote, ad-hoc professional services in support of a mixed Cisco CUCM and Webex Calling environment. This role is intended to augment and partner with our internal senior VoIP engineer and help execute planned initiatives and ongoing support activities, as overall internal resources are limited.Key ResponsibilitiesThe consultant will provide senior-level expertise and hands-on support, including but not limited to: Installation, configuration, and upgrade support for Cisco Unified Communications systems Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of VoIP and UC issuesDesign review, validation, and documentation of voice architecturesCollaboration with internal engineering staff on audits, migrations, and upgradesProviding best-practice recommendations aligned with Cisco standardsUpgrade Cisco CUCM from version 12.5 to 14 (CUCM 15 is not an option due to third-party application incompatibilities)Update Cisco systems to comply with new TLS authentication requirementsUpgrade and validate the Informacast Paging systemConduct a RedSky (E911) audit in collaboration with the internal senior engineerConduct a Cisco CUBE routing audit in collaboration with the internal senior engineerAssist with the migration of the red phone environment to CiscoRequired Skills & Experience10 years of experience in VoIP / Unified Communications engineeringDeep hands-on expertise with:Cisco CUCMWebex CallingCisco CUBERedSky (E911)Informacast PagingStrong understanding of SIP, TLS, certificates, and voice securityProven experience supporting enterprise-scale voice environmentsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a remote consulting modelPreferred QualificationsCisco Collaboration certifications (CCNP/CCIE Collaboration or equivalent experience)Prior experience performing system audits, upgrades, and migrationsStrong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills
