About the Role

Mokwheel Portland is looking for an experienced and motivated E-Bike Mechanic & Store Supervisor to take on a key leadership role in our shop. This is a unique hybrid position — you'll keep the workshop running at a high standard while also driving sales, managing inventory, and delivering an exceptional in-store customer experience. If you're a skilled mechanic who's equally comfortable talking to customers and taking ownership of day-to-day store operations, this is the role for you.

Workshop Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair a full range of e-bikes including electrical systems (motors, batteries, displays, controllers) and mechanical components
• Oversee workshop quality standards and ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new e-bike stock
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop at all times

Sales Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting the right e-bike, accessories, and upgrades for their needs
• Upsell service packages, parts, and add-ons with genuine product knowledge and enthusiasm
• Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Support in-store promotions and seasonal sales initiatives

Inventory & Parts

• Manage parts and accessories ordering, ensuring stock levels are maintained
• Track inventory accurately and flag low stock or fast-moving items to ownership
• Liaise with suppliers and coordinate timely deliveries
• Assist with stock takes and merchandising of the shop floor

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an e-bike or bicycle mechanic, with leadership or supervisory exposure
• Strong knowledge of e-bike drive systems (e.g. Bosch, Shimano Steps, or similar)
• Natural sales ability — confident, consultative, and customer-focused
• Highly organised with the ability to juggle workshop and floor responsibilities
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision
• Brand certifications (e.g. Bosch eBike Systems) are a strong advantage
