ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our studio is seeking an Interior Designer to join the team in a role that is both production and design focused. This team member will support drafting, documentation, and execution across residential and hospitality projects. This position will work closely with the Principal and Lead Designer and is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, follow-through, and creating executable design concepts.
While production and documentation are foundational to the role, there is flexibility to take on additional responsibilities such as finish fixture selection, project ownership, and client interaction depending on experience, interest, and workload. This is a new role created to support the studio’s continued growth.
This position is part-time to start (approximately 24–32 hours/week) with flexibility and a potential path to full-time as the role and project load evolve. We strongly prefer an onsite presence, as collaboration and productivity are best supported in person, with flexibility for life circumstances as needed.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being a strong execution partner and contributing meaningfully behind the scenes while having the opportunity to contribute beyond production if desired.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
· Produce and maintain detailed AutoCAD construction drawing sets, including plans (floor, reflected ceiling, furniture finish plans), interior elevations, schedules and details.
· Implement redlines and revisions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
· Support the permitting process through interior design drawing sets and coordination with architects and consultants.
· Assist with design development and documentation across residential and hospitality projects.
· Support finish, material and fixture selections as needed, in collaboration with the Principal and Lead Designer.
· Coordinate internally with the Lead Designer and Junior team member when needed.
· Maintain organized project files, drawings, and specifications.
· Participate in a collaborative, open-book studio environment with shared accountability.
Depending on interest and experience, this role may also include:
· Supporting FF&E sourcing and specifications, including materials, finishes, lighting and furnishings.
· Client-facing involvement, such as participating in select meetings, presentations, and on-going communication as appropriate.
· Assisting with or leading design development on certain projects, with guidance from the Principal.
· Participating in site visits, coordination meetings, and installations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 3–7 years (or more) of professional interior design or architectural experience
· Strong AutoCAD proficiency, with experience producing detailed construction drawing sets
· Proficiency with InDesign and Photoshop
· Comfort working on a Mac-based systems
· Familiarity with Morpholio (bonus)
· Strong internal communication skills and attention to detail
· Background in architecture or close collaboration with architects
· Experience in both residential and hospitality environments is ideal
