F5 Architect
Pay Rate Range: Open - $60/hr onwards (W2/ C2C/1099)
Locations:
- F5 Architect – Remote (USA, preference: MN)
- Sr F5 Engineer – Columbus, OH
We are seeking a highly skilled F5 Architect/Senior F5 Engineer to support and enhance our application delivery and edge security platforms. This role involves hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and optimization of traffic management, CDN, and web security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and support application delivery platforms such as F5, A10, AVI, or Citrix
- Manage CDN and edge security platforms including Cloudflare and Akamai
- Ensure secure and efficient traffic routing across global environments
- Implement and maintain WAF policies and security controls
- Troubleshoot complex issues across DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and CDN layers
- Support onboarding and migration of applications to cloud and edge platforms
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience with ADC (F5, A10, AVI, Citrix)
- Strong experience with CDN/WAF (Cloudflare, Akamai)
- Solid understanding of DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, TLS
- Knowledge of web security and OWASP Top 10
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Nice to Have:
- Scripting/automation experience (Python, Bash)
- Experience with DevOps or SRE practices
