Job Overview
Mokscare Psychiatry and Family Medicine is currently seeking two professional and detail-oriented Certified Nurse Aides to join our front desk team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by combining both clinical support and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidates will bring strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. A key part of this role includes verifying insurance eligibility, coordinating front desk workflow, and supporting providers with clinical tasks to ensure a seamless experience for patients.
Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, and obtain prior authorizations as required
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently to optimize provider workflow
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out procedures, including accurate data entry and collection of co-pays
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, addressing patient inquiries or routing as appropriate
- Record and document vital signs, patient history, and other relevant information in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and privacy
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of exam rooms and front desk areas
- Assist providers with clinical tasks as needed, including basic procedures and documentation support
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service by responding to patient concerns with empathy, professionalism, and discretion
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth daily operations and positive patient experiences
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
