Position Overview
Mokosh Holistic Massage is seeking a reliable and welcoming Studio Assistant to support the daily operations of our massage studio. This role is front-desk focused and provides essential administrative, client support, and light studio upkeep to ensure smooth daily flow for both clients and licensed massage therapists.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, hospitality, and being part of a wellness-centered environment. Some down time expected, so this could be a great role for someone studying in college or who has an online side hustle.
Ideally looking for Monday-Wednesday 12:30pm-8:30pm, but could be flexible for the right candidate.
This is not a sales or commission-based role.
Responsibilities
Client Support & Front Desk
- Greet clients warmly and professionally
- Maintain a calm, organized front desk and lobby
- Support client check-in and check-out processes
Payments & Scheduling
- Process payments for services, packages, memberships, and gift cards
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Handle receipts, tips, and basic daily reconciliation
Communication
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to voicemails
- Monitor and respond to studio emails and inquiries
- Provide accurate information about services, scheduling, and studio policies
Studio Upkeep & Sanitation
- Perform light daily cleaning of front desk, lobby, and shared spaces
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store massage tools and equipment
- Support laundry and restocking of supplies as needed
Therapist & Operations Support
- Assist licensed massage therapists with non-clinical operational needs
- Communicate schedule changes and client updates to therapists
- Support smooth daily studio operations
Administrative Tasks
- Accurate data entry and client record maintenance
- Support general administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and dependable
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable with phones, computers, and scheduling systems
- Able to maintain client confidentiality
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a calm, professional manner
Preferred (Not Required)
- Front desk, administrative, or customer service experience
- Experience in a wellness, healthcare, or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with POS or scheduling software
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (laundry, supplies)
- Ability to perform light cleaning and repetitive tasks
