Substitute Severe Disability Aide: Under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor and general direction of a classroom teacher, specialist or support provider, assists in providing academic, behavior and social-emotional supports to an individual or small groups of students to enhance learning. Monitors and reports student’s progress according to state standards, classroom objectives and the individualized education program (IEP), including health and/or behavioral plans. Provides support to students with severe behavioral and/or physical disabilities including students with multiple handicaps, emotional disturbances, and severe orthopedic, visual, or hearing impairments.
