Job Summary
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor and within the framework of established welding industry procedures and CTE standards, the welding instructor will use their conceptual and practical understanding of welding and welding instruction to teach a wide range of welding skills to students in grades 9-12
Requirements / Qualifications
Verified three (3) years of related work experience or one (1) year related work. experience and 48 semester hours of related postsecondary vocational training. Hold, or be eligible for, a California Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential. Previous public, charter, or alternative school experience preferred, but not required. Hold, or be eligible for, an authorization to teach English Learners. Fingerprints must clear within 30 calendar days. Hold a valid California Driver's License. DMV Authorization of Release of Driver Record Information (Employer Pull Program) required. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is preferred, but not required. Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary. Manage multiple projects and site/district needs simultaneously. Show self-motivation and attention to detail in all aspects of the job. Gather, organize, analyze, evaluate and interpret data. Prepare clear and comprehensive reports and presentations, both verbally and in writing, using clear, concise academic language. Utilize interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders and work effectively with all racial, ethnic, linguistic, economic and disability groups. Model sound judgement, honesty and integrity in all interactions, and demonstrate understanding, patience, and approachability toward all stakeholders. Research and follow all pertinent rules, processes, procedures, Federal, State, local laws and ordinances, Education Code, regulations and policies
