Vice President, Medical Affairs – Oncology
Location: Southern California
Compensation: $255K–$320K base % bonus

We are partnering with an established biopharmaceutical company seeking an experienced Vice
President of Medical Affairs to lead and build its Medical Affairs organization while supporting Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an MD with deep oncology experience and a proven track record directly leading Medical Affairs teams. The ideal candidate is a builder who can strengthen the existing function while helping support the organization's next phase of growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the Medical Affairs organization, including MSL and medical/scientific capabilities.
- Drive KOL engagement, advisory boards, evidence generation, publications, scientific communications, and investigator-sponsored research.
- Develop medical strategy supporting marketed products and future oncology pipeline opportunities.
- Partner closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Commercial, and Manufacturing.
- Partner across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs to support oncology programs from development through approval and commercialization.
- Build and mentor high-performing medical/scientific teams.
- Serve as a strategic medical partner to executive leadership.
- Experience evaluating, integrating, or advancing new oncology pipeline assets is highly preferred
What We're Looking For
- MD or equivalent medical degree required.
- Significant oncology/hematology biopharma experience.
- Proven experience directly leading Medical Affairs teams or organizations.
- Experience building or scaling Medical Affairs capabilities.
- Strong KOL, scientific communications, publications, and evidence-generation experience.
- Broad exposure to Clinical Development/Operations and Regulatory Affairs/FDA interactions.
- Cell therapy, immunotherapy, or immuno-oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting oncology products through development and commercialization preferred.
- Must be able to work onsite in Southern California.
Salary : $255,000 - $320,000
