What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumber Yard Associate position at Mohler Lumber Company?
We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time Lumberyard Associate for our North Canton lumberyard location. Job Responsibilities:
Assist with building loads for delivery by hand or by forklift based on type of material.
Assist with unloading and stocking of incoming deliveries from vendors, and assist with loading customers' vehicles in the lumberyard, as necessary.
Occasionally make deliveries with box truck or flatbed pick-up truck. (CDL not required)
Process lumberyard transactions using the point-of-sale system, taking customer payments.
Assist with yard maintenance and cleaning activities.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of lumber and building materials is preferred, but we'll train an eager learner.
Physically demanding job, requires heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), standing, and bending.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills are essential.
Clean driving record.
Basic computer and math skills necessary.
Primarily weekdays, but some weekend days may be needed.
