Position Summary
This position performs preventive maintenance on various HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation including but not limited to air handlers (filters, belts, lubrication, cleaning drain pans), ice machine cleaning, condenser/evaporator coils, etc. Cleans and replaces key components, documents service activities, communicates equipment conditions to management, and maintains compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and HVAC regulations.

Position Summary
This position performs preventive maintenance on various HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation including but not limited to air handlers (filters, belts, lubrication, cleaning drain pans), ice machine cleaning, condenser/evaporator coils, etc. Cleans and replaces key components, documents service activities, communicates equipment conditions to management, and maintains compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and HVAC regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Cleans and replaces filters, belts, coils, condensate drains, and other system components to maintain equipment efficiency and performance
- Performs PM’s on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Communicates professionally with supervisor or Engineering management regarding maintenance findings, equipment condition, and recommended services
- Maintains accurate service records, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work order documentation using company software or mobile devices
- Ensures compliance with company and departmental safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable HVAC industry regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, trade related tech school preferred.
- Must pass both oral and written technical proficiency test and demonstrate skills necessary to perform job functions.
- Must be able to read and work from tech manuals, blueprints and schematics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with running building management systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC including the concepts of voltage, current and power and the properties and uses of electrical components
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety requirements of the trade
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the HVAC trade
- OSHA Lockout/Tag out procedures
- Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure training
- Man lift training, (scissor and boom lift)
- Forklift training
- Confined space training
- Fall protection
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb a ladder
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
