Position Summary
This position is responsible for physically establishing the environment for all events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Responsible for physically establishing the environment, including basic event equipment for all banquets/conventions inside or outside the Convention Center
- Assists in monitoring the event space for cleanliness or maintenance
- Assists guests with movement of equipment, materials or boxes as deemed by supervisor
- Responsible for cleanliness of the storage rooms and back of house areas for the Ballroom and Convention Center
- Responsible for periodically refreshing rooms according to written instructions
- Follows all Fire Marshal requirements
- Responsible for executing events off-site as needed
- Ability to handle physical responsibilities involved with moving and placing event space equipment, including tables, chairs, podiums and other equipment
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of operational policies including, but not limited to, hours of operation
- Knowledge of meeting room sets including dance floor and staging systems
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack
- Knowledge of Ballroom, Convention Center, storeroom locations and various catering areas throughout the casino
- Working knowledge of Air Wall System
- Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in outside elements, as needed
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
