Position Summary
This position is responsible for reviewing the daily work of the Accounting representatives – Non-Gaming to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with casino rules and regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Reviews, forecasts and reports related Non-Gaming revenue and expenses
- Creates journal entries, as needed
- Assists with the supervision, development and coaching of the Non-Gaming Accounting Representatives ensuring accurate and timely completion of assignments
- Maintains balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Maintains statistical records of assigned areas
- Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of comp adjustments
- Leads and participates in physical inventories
- Assists the Senior Accountants in the preparation of month-end closing packages
- Compiles payment requests for tenants
- Participates in the development and enforcement or departmental procedures, standards and controls
- Assists in the distribution of comp reports
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- One year of Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment
- In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, one years of Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment may be considered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to review and comprehend lease agreements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
- Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training Courses
- Knowledge of Infinium, ACSC, LMS, RPOS, Cognos, Shift 4, Net Vuepoint and Infinium software
- Office work environment
- Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending and lifting during physical inventories
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
