Core Job Responsibilities
- Maintains the Nursing Department timesheets by daily updates/changes from composites.
- Utilizes the Kronos Payroll System with time changes/additions from Nurse Managers. Enters into Kronos all time schedules for Nursing Department.
- Types a wide variety of materials such as correspondence, reports, and records.
- Acts as a liaison with Payroll Department to identify all payroll issues. On payday distributes payroll checks/vouchers to Nursing Department employees.
- Reviews updated composites to determine the relevant staffing holes on individual units.
- Makes phone calls to appropriate staff in an attempt to fill the staffing holes that develop over the course of the shift or, proactively, with regards to known future staffing holes when possible.
- File pertinent information into the Nursing file folders while always maintaining utmost confidentiality dealing with sensitive data.
- Acts as receptionist as necessary for Nursing Service coverage.
- Attends Bed Meetings, with Supervisors and Managers, twice a day.
- Creates and manages the Float Personnel schedule.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience in a secretarial position.
