Core Job Responsibilities
- Welcomes and greets patients and visitors, in person or over the phone, answering or referring inquiries
- Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
- Facilitates the flow of patients by notifying the providers of the patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Maintains office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Completes related work as needed throughout the office
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
