Central Service Technician - Full Time - Evening Shift

Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the Senior Technician or Department Manager of Sterile Processing, carries out the operations of sterile processing and will be proficient with all job duties assigned to this position.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Carries out Standard Precautions at all times.
• Performs all phases of decontamination: instruments, carts and equipment (commodes, Imeds, Isolation Carts, wheelchairs, stretchers, etc.)
• Operates the washer-decontaminator, cart wash and the steam gun.
• Performs all phases of inspecting and assembling instruments for the OR, CTOR, Cath lab, EP lab, X-ray, ER, Sleep lab and all the off-sites
• Operates the sterilizers in the department (STEAM, ETO, and STERRAD).
• Adheres to the proper wrapping, labeling, and logging on the appropriate log sheets.
• Maintains accurate logs on all sterilizers.
• Operates heat sealer, labeling gun and drying cabinet
• Accurately documents results.
• Adheres to the proper delinting, folding and assembling of reusable linen.
• Restock hemodialysis carts, minor procedure carts, and prisma carts.
  
  

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

PREFERRED:

• 1 year previous related experience
• CS Tech Certification
