What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Installation Leader position at Mohawk Technology, LLC?
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Installation Leader to join our growing team at one of our Midwest office locations including Mohawk, MI, Menahga, MN, Delano, MN, or Siren, WI. The Electrical Installation Leader will work with Leadership, Project Teams, and Subcontractors to optimize and efficiently execute Mohawk Technology’s onsite electrical installation workload. In this role, you will play a key role in improving and executing Mohawk Technology’s Electrical Installation vision for our projects and customers.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire Mohawk Technology Electrical Installation Process
- Execute Mohawk Technology’s Electrical Installation vision
- Work with leadership on strategic long-term plans for onsite electrical resources and capital expenditures
- Manage the employees within the electrical installation group
- Build, expand, and manage relationships between Mohawk Technology and subcontracted electrician resources
- Order necessary material to execute electrical installations
- Work with customers to plan out the electrical installation and work around the customer’s 24/7 manufacturing schedule
- Set, manage, and maintain the overall Mohawk Technology electrical installation workflow
- Work with operations to set, align, and manage electrical installation schedules based on overall project schedules.
- Work with onsite electrical resources to ensure that all electrical installation jobs meet Mohawk Technology’s quality standard
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure electrical installations are complete efficiently and on schedule
- Must satisfactorily comply with alcohol and controlled substance company policies
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Operate forklifts, trucks, and trailers
- Travel estimated at 40-50%. Travel includes but is not limited to the following:
- Attending quarterly off-site leadership meetings
- Regular trips to job sites during electrical installations
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., control panels, electrical components)
- Able to work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling, reaching)
- Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on ladders or lifts)
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., construction sites, manufacturing floors)
- Walking, standing, going up and down stairs, sitting, kneeling, crouching, bending for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and heavier weights on an infrequent basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Working in varying temperatures while on-site
- Wearing PPE complying with the customer’s and Mohawk Technology’s safety standards, including safety-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, hair nets, and smocks
- Moving around facilities on-site on a frequent basis, which can be very large with multiple floors and rooms
Working Hours:
- Typical office hours:
- 8 am – 5 pm
- Occasional nights and weekends
- On-site hours:
- Hours may vary, but are typically 12
- Occasional nights and weekends
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Master Electrician or related experience
- Experience working in a sanitary environment
- Experience with 2D AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience running electrical installations
- Knowledge of electrical design in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A electrical codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft products
- Knowledge of Food/Dairy Industry
Pay Range:
- 80,000 - 100,000 Based on Experience
