GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Junior Maintenance Technician provides maintenance support to the production facility as directed by the floor leaders and management. This role executes equipment preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and building and grounds maintenance activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Physical activity includes walking, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. If work demands require lifting in excess of 50 pounds, the use of a mechanical device or initiation of a two-person lift is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Executes Preventative Maintenance schedule as provided by Maintenance Planner
- Maintains facility upkeep and repairs including snow plowing, shoveling, sanding/salting and all grounds upkeep
- Completes monthly PMs of cranes, fire safety systems, rolling equipment, etc.
- Performs maintenance operations requiring a broad knowledge of various types of equipment including mechanical, heating, cooling, fabrication, plumbing, and electrical
- Executes corrective maintenance as needed to minimize downtime and/or to correct unsafe conditions.
- Takes direction on PMs/CMs from Maintenance Crew Captain and Maintenance Planner
- Ensures efficient machine operation by making machine and equipment adjustments and repairs
- Operates mobile equipment, including forklift, manlift, scissor lift, and overhead cranes to complete assignments
- Responsible for various inspections required by outside agencies including sprinklers, fire extinguishers, cranes, et
- Understanding of CNC equipment and programming
- PLC knowledge and ability to complete light electrical work
- Works with contractors when needed
- Performs work in a safe manner and complete all required safety inspections
- Maintains conformance with safety rules and regulations, if you are unclear of or uncomfortable with a safety process then you have an obligation to make your supervisor aware
- It is required that if you see or are made aware of a safety related issue or concern to immediately address it or make management aware
- Involved with continuous improvement efforts regarding all aspects of safety

- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or technical school.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and industrial maintenance role.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic repairs and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electrical systems up to 480/277V 3P.
- Must possess well-rounded knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, equipment, etc.
- Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to complete maintenance forms, follow OSHA requirements, and may read schematics and schedules.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as forklift, manlift, scissor lift, and/or overhead cranes.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with management, co-workers, contractors, and vendors.
- Must be detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English language and be understood.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must interact professionally with people both in person and on the telephone.
- Must be forklift and overhead crane trained. Basic shop math.
- Prior experience with CNC equipment and operation of a skid steer
- Forklift and overhead crane operation and repair experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and manufacturing software applications.
