- Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 (based on experience and interview performance)
- An experienced Field Service Engineer is sought to support, service, and maintain X-Ray and Ultrasound imaging equipment across multiple healthcare sites in the NYC and Hanover, NJ region. The ideal candidate will have formal OEM or third-party training, with a proactive attitude and strong diagnostic skills.
- Perform repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on X-Ray and Ultrasound medical imaging devices.
- Work independently at healthcare facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Manage scheduled maintenance tasks including calibration and system verification.
- Accurately document service activity in alignment with quality standards.
- Communicate clearly with clients, account managers, and technical teams.
- Maintain test equipment and manage company-provided tools and assets.
- Travel regularly within a 4-hour radius, with occasional overnight stays or flights.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer in medical imaging.
- Specialization in X-Ray and Ultrasound modalities.
- Formal training from OEMs like GE, Philips, or Siemens, or certified third-party providers (RSTI, AllParts).
- Valid OEM training certification required.
- Active state license and US Citizenship or Green Card status required.
- High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
- 10 years of total field engineering experience.
- Exposure to CT systems or contrast injectors is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication, especially in high-pressure environments.
- Proficient with documentation, service reporting, and MS Office tools.
- High commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
- Frequent travel to healthcare sites.
- Ability to lift equipment up to 75 lbs, and spend time standing or walking.
- Monday to Friday work schedule, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
