Key Responsibilities
- Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant machinery and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of manufacturing equipment.
- Install, calibrate, and verify functionality of new machinery and automation systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Operate tools including lathes, drill presses, grinders, welders, and cutting torches for repair or part fabrication.
- Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Utilize PLCs to troubleshoot logic or control malfunctions, upload/download programs, and modify as needed.
- Perform pipefitting and hydraulic/pneumatic line installations as required.
- Maintain and document all repair activities in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- 2–5 years of experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance in one or more of the following plastics processes:
- Plastic Injection Molding
- Inline Sheet Extrusion
- Inline Thermoforming
- EPP/EPS Shape Molding
- Strong understanding of robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
- Hands-on experience with lathe, drill press, grinders, welders, and torches.
- Ability to assemble and install pipe systems, valves, and pneumatic/hydraulic lines.
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams.
- Skilled in precision measurement and part inspection.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Demonstrated job stability and reliability.
- Experience with:
- Haitian or JSW injection molding machines
- Star Robots or equivalent robotic automation
- Lyle thermoforming systems
- Davis-Standard extrusion lines
- Akkaya EPP/EPS machines
- Una-Dyn or Novatec material handling equipment
- Licensed forklift, boom lift, or aerial-lift operator certification.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, and continuous improvement practices.
- Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Monday – Friday
- Shift Differential: $1.00/hour
