The position focuses on equipment lifecycle management, safety, technology assessment, capital planning, and strengthening long-term clinical engineering strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of multi-site Clinical Engineering departments.
- Conduct quarterly department head visits and meetings.
- Ensure timely delivery of all client reports
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, and all regulatory standards.
- Track and achieve departmental performance indicators at or above program targets.
- Manage and monitor financial performance through regular site visits and reviews.
- Maintain PM/CM completion rates at or above target.
- Participate in capital asset planning, purchasing, and related committees.
- Meet cost-containment goals and ensure all expenses adhere to budget guidelines.
- Submit purchase orders, invoices, and financial documents promptly.
- Recruit, train, and develop technical engineering staff.
- Conduct staff meetings, provide measurable objectives, and perform evaluations.
- Manage schedules, vacations, and leave requests.
- Oversee a team of 11 technicians and support staff across multiple sites.
- Maintain clear communication with facility administrators and leadership teams.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide weekly reports to leadership.
- Build strong relationships with clinical leaders to support long-term program stability and growth.
- Apply creative strategies to minimize external service contracts by leveraging in-house expertise.
- Analyze contract spend, parts usage, and external services to meet benchmark financial goals.
- Manage high-end imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Cath Lab, Radiation Therapy) using optimal service models and vendor agreements.
- Identify and mentor staff with advanced technical capabilities to reduce service costs.
- Foster innovation by networking with peers nationally.

- Total inventory value exceeding $110M
- Operating budgets above $4.75M
- Associate’s Degree in a related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Engineering Manager.
- Strong financial and program management skills.
- Working knowledge of industry-standard clinical engineering operations and national program frameworks.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CBET or CHTM certification preferred.
- Ability to participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
