About The Role

MOGEL is partnering with a leading professional services firm in the financial and human capital consulting space to hire a Technology Support Specialist to join their internal IT team.

This is a hands-on, onsite IT support role supporting employees across the organization. The position is best suited for an early-career IT professional with foundational technical knowledge and practical exposure to IT support environments who is eager to continue building real-world skills through daily troubleshooting, end-user support, and close collaboration with experienced IT leadership.

The role will be heavily focused on desktop and end-user support initially, including troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Over time, and based on performance and demonstrated aptitude, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to broader IT initiatives.

This is not a purely academic role. Candidates should be comfortable explaining and applying basic IT concepts (such as the purpose of a firewall, how VPNs function, or how to approach common desktop support issues). Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end users in person, by phone, and via email
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues in Windows and macOS environments
  • Partner with managed service providers (MSPs) and senior IT staff to resolve escalated issues
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, permissions, workstation configuration, and equipment recovery
  • Perform hands-on physical tasks such as workstation builds, monitor setups, cabling, and office technology configuration
  • Take ownership of technical issues from intake through resolution, including documentation and communication
  • Assist with system administration and troubleshooting across tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Jira, Intune, Jamf, and VPNs
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal knowledge sharing
  • Assist with IT asset inventory tracking and equipment management
  • Provide basic user training and promote technology best practices
  • Support special projects and additional IT initiatives as assigned by IT leadership

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with accompanying hands-on experience, or equivalent practical experience gained through help desk work, internships, campus IT roles, MSP environments, labs, or personal projects
  • Practical familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Exposure to tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Jira, or ticketing systems preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in learning IT systems through hands-on work, mentorship, and real-world problem solving
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable performing physical IT work, including lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays
  • Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching
  • Bonus program
  • Professional development opportunities, mentorship, and team events
