SECURITY INVESTIGATOR

Summary

Position Highlights:

The Security Investigator is an armed security position responsible for conducting a wide range of administrative, criminal, and special investigations, including but not limited to domestic violence, theft, robbery, assault, and internal matters. The position plays a key role in developing and implementing security plans for high-profile visitors in coordination with leadership. The Security Investigator also serves as a member of the Diversion Intervention Response Team, contributing to proactive safety and compliance efforts across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Extensive Knowledge of security systems, surveillance technologies, access systems and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of Kronos and Accurint reporting for background investigations.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing security operations.
• Proficiency with security tools (firearm, taser, handcuffs) and security systems (cameras, alarms, access control).
  
  

Credentials And Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• FL Driver’s License (must obtain Florida driver’s license within 90 days).
• Florida Class “D” Security Officer License (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Florida Class “G” Security Officer License (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Axon/Taser certification (must be obtained within six (6) months of hire).
• AVADE Level II & III Self Defense & Defensive Control Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• IAHSS Basic Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Ten (10) years of law enforcement experience. Seven (7) years of criminal investigations. Two (2) years of healthcare security experience with Moffitt.
• Background in dignitary protection, surveillance operations.
• Extensive camera, card access systems experience. Knowledge of Kronos and Accurint reporting for background investigations.
