REV CYCLE APPLICATION ARCHITECT

Summary

Position Highlights:

The Revenue Cycle Application Architect is responsible for assisting with the definition, design, construction, integration, testing and support of reliable and reusable solutions that address Revenue Cycle needs. Responsibilities include systems analysis, creation of independent modules, coding, testing, and implementation of application and data interfaces. The Revenue Cycle Application Architect utilizes best practices throughout the project life cycle to deliver systems / applications that meet business and technical requirements. This position is expected to provide expert knowledge of project management methodologies and documentation required throughout the SDLC process.

The Ideal Candidate Will Preferably Have

Strong knowledge of application development, integration tools and Interface development:

• Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats
• Experience with JavaScript or other scripting languages
• Experience with ASP.NET and XML
• Experience with SQL, stored procedures, and database triggers on Oracle and SQL Server platforms
• Experience with SSIS packages, MS Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tool
  
  

Knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle systems.

• Prefer experience with healthcare Revenue Cycle Patient Financial Services for hospital and physician (Billing, Collections, Denials, Accounts Receivable, Business Office) and Financial Clearance/Authorization
  
  

Performance improvement and process management knowledge and experience.

Prior experience with focus on medical research information systems development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Works with Moffitt business teams to identify and document new requirements / enhancements for the Revenue Cycle systems.
• Oversee internal and vendor driven development / system configurations / upgrades; ensuring that application designs are consistent with industry best practices including scalability, availability, maintainability and flexibility.
• Leads technical team through system enhancements, bug fixes, internal & regression testing, support and ongoing maintenance of the Soarian Financials application.
• Creates and updates artifacts as part of the Moffitt System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Credentials And Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, business or health care related field required.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience designing and/or configuring Revenue Cycle or Finance Information Management Systems is required.
  
  

"In lieu" of a Bachelor's degree, will consider a High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of additional relevant Information Management Systems experience in the Revenue Cycle or Finance operational support experience plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) Information Management Systems experience designing and/or configuring Revenue Cycle or Finance Information roles.

• Prior Healthcare / Finance experience required.
