The Mover Installation Technician is responsible for assisting with the relocation, installation, and setup of office furniture, equipment, and fixtures within company facilities. This position is responsible for estimating time necessary for individual tasks as well as completing moves, managing priorities and expectations. The Mover Installation Technician works with their team in order to safely and successfully complete moves throughout the organization.

The Mover Installation Technician is responsible for assisting with the relocation, installation, and setup of office furniture, equipment, and fixtures within company facilities. This position is responsible for estimating time necessary for individual tasks as well as completing moves, managing priorities and expectations. The Mover Installation Technician works with their team in order to safely and successfully complete moves throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to read basic floor plans and installation drawings.
- Able to read a tape measure and understand basic dimensional code requirements and clearances, and measure a worksite prior to installation.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Use of power and hand tools.
- Ability to with forklift, pallet jack and other hand tools. Basic working knowledge of a computer, especially MS Office Excel and Outlook, and inventory system knowledge is a plus.
- A High School Diploma/GED is required (In lieu of a High School Diploma/GED, one (1) additional year of experience may be considered (total 3 years of experience).
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as a commercial furniture dealer, independent installation contractor, or in an in-house position working for an end-user.
- Must be able to read floor plans and installation drawings. Able to read a tape measure and understand basic dimensional code requirements and clearances, and measure a worksite prior to installation. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Use of power and hand tools. Ability to work extended or flexible hours depending on facility needs.
- Basic working knowledge of a computer, especially MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
