Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CRU staff to identify needs, then plan, develop, deliver and evaluate educational offerings to meet those needs as they relate to clinical research trials. Identify strategies to improve quality of patient care, develop and disseminate new knowledge as it relates to clinical research.
- Utilizes a variety of methods, both formal and informal, to assess unique learner needs and competency.
- Establishes mechanisms to identify and prioritize educational needs based on study start up dates, policies, and study requirements. Recommends new educational programs based on assessment of need, availability of new studies and protocol requirements.
- Plans and implements educational programs utilizing principles of adult learning and varied teaching strategies.
- Leads groups to achieve department and Center goals; i.e. improvement initiatives, educational endeavors, decrease deviations, committees and task forces.
- Serves in capacity of expert resource utilizing advanced oncology nursing knowledge and skills
- Associate’s degree with Five (5) years directly relevant experience in Nursing OR BSN with 4 Years directly in Nursing
- FL RN license
- BLS certification
- Well-developed knowledge of education planning processes, various communication methods/new media, program development and evaluation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving capability.
- Commitment to quality customer service
- Oncology Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 Years of relevant research nursing experience
- National Specialty Certification
