Responsible for directing case cart and supply support activities as assigned by Management.

Responsible for directing case cart and supply support activities as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 1 year in supply, distribution, receiving and/or inventory management required.
- Ability to utilize computerized inventory management software to enter and/or extract data required.
- Picks cases accurately as documented on the individual surgeon’s preference sheets.
- The case carts are to be filled based on the case start time, earliest to the latest.
- Quantity of items pulled are indicated on the pick sheet; if the quantity being pulled is different from that requested, indicate so on the sheet and address any shortfalls with OR assistant manager/ designee.
- Must identify missing item(s) and contact the appropriate representative. (i.e., Inventory Control, Buyer, Supervisor, and/ or external hospitals).
- Provides temporary substitutions, as per management, for a procedure when necessary and communicates this to the operating room charge nurse and/or assistant manager.
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and competency for the medical supplies necessary to perform these procedures.
- Handles telephone calls and/or requests from the operating room and performs specific tasks or routines that are supportive to patient care.
- Provides supplies and equipment as needed and responds to “stat” requests.
