Summary
Position Highlights:
The PR Account Manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with internal clients and the public. This position provides input into strategic communications plans and executes for multiple service lines to tell the Moffitt story and enhance its brand with the intended audiences. The PR Account Manager oversees media relations, content creation, social media strategy, measurement and reporting and campaign execution for their assigned clients. The PR Account Manager works with autonomy, while collaborating with other members of the Strategic Communications team.
Credential and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years verifiable experience in developing and executing communications strategies, special events and other devices for engaging large populations of people in a health care, community, government relations, public relations or related environment.
- Minimum three (3) years verifiable experience in managing large communications projects for large organizations
- Work experience in an in-house agency and/or non-profit setting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies to enhance PR presence of assigned accounts.
- Manages day-to-day internal client communication activities.
- Writes content for multiple communication channels, including internal communications, media, and social media.
- Foster internal and external relationships.
- Assists with communications efforts around events such as Business of Biotech, Moffitt Day, Miles for Moffitt, etc.
- Builds and maintains relationships with media outlets and journalists.
- Serves as the main point of contact for internal clients.
