Summary
MOFFITT CANCER CENTER FACULTY POSITION: PRECISION MEDICINE SPECIALIST
This is an Assistant level tenure-eligible faculty position in Precision Medicine, who serves as part of a clinical team under the general direction of the Molecular Pathology Vice Chair, in collaboration with the Program Leader of Precision Medicine and clinical team. The Precision Medicine Assistant Member’s primary activity is the evaluation and interpretation of genetic and genomic data obtained from somatic and germline sources, to inform development of a precision treatment strategy with the goal of optimization of treatment options and assisting with mitigating drug risks for patients at Moffitt Cancer Center requiring such an approach to their cancer. This is done in collaboration with the treating Physician or Advanced Practice Professional and through serving as an Attending on the Precision Medicine Clinical Service. As a Faculty Member in the Division of Clinical Sciences, the Precision Medicine Attending is engaged in the Academic activities of the Cancer Center, through education, research, and clinical care and is appointed to the Clinical Academician, Clinical Investigator or Clinical Scientist pathway.
Additional assigned duties may include community service and administrative responsibilities. This position also includes the expectation of teaching and clinical research efforts with presentation at scientific meetings and production of scientific manuscripts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MD/DO or PharmD required.

A minimum of two years of clinical residency and/or fellowship training in medical oncology or molecular pathology required.
- Applicants should have experience in the interpretation of clinical somatic tumor (hematologic and solid tumor) and cell free DNA genetic alterations as they relate to treatment decisions for adult patients with cancer.

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida.
