Water Resources Engineer - Stormwater & Coastal Resilience Focus

Moffatt & Nichol
Oakland, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 10/25/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/25/2026

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large, complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as a worldwide leader in this field. We are actively looking for a Water Resources / Stormwater Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our Oakland or Walnut Creek office. As the successful new hire, you will work across project scales and timelines — from federal flood risk management projects to municipal stormwater master plans to resilience plans — collaborating closely with Moffatt & Nichol’s coastal engineering experts as well as Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol studio, on regional resilience strategies and nature-based approaches that go beyond traditional H&H (hydrology and hydraulic) modeling. This is a unique opportunity to help grow our Northern California resilience group and expand our footprint across the West Coast and Pacific, with some travel to support project delivery, backed by the full technical depth of our national Water Resources practice.
