THIS POSITION IS MORE BUSY WORK WITH PATIENT MEDICATION REFILLS, PATIENT PHONE MESSAGES, LIASION BETWEEN PATIENT AND PROVIDER, AND PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS AND APPEALS.
Duties
- Administer injections.
- Assist with medical procedures TMS.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) using platforms to ensure accurate documentation.
- Support triage activities by evaluating patient needs and coordinating appropriate follow-up care.
- Provide patient education on medication management.
- Collaborate with physicians and mental health professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Experience
- Prior experience working in medical offices or outpatient clinics WITH MENTAL HEALTH is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in behavioral health settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, including injection administration and medication management practices.
- Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and infection control standards is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation best practices ensures compliance and confidentiality.
- PRIOR EXPERIANCE WITH MEDICATION PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS AND APPEALS.
