Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- Take accurate orders and input them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages according to café standards
- Check in with guests and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit
- Process payments and return change or receipts accurately
- Create a positive, memorable experience for every guest
Operational Duties
- Arrive on time in proper attire, ready for work
- Set up and break down tables and service stations
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and work areas
- Follow food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with opening, mid-shift, and closing duties
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service flow
- Complete assigned side work and cleaning tasks
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with servers, bussers, hosts, kitchen staff and managers
- Communicate guest needs, allergies, or concerns clearly
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
- Contribute to a supportive and efficient team environment
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all restaurant policies and health regulations
- Report safety issues to management immediately
- Adhere to fire, health, and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- 6 months of experience as a server in a café or restaurant (preferred)
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in fast-paced settings
- Detail-oriented and guest-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- High energy and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Navigate busy or crowded spaces with ease
Work Schedule
- Shifts available between 7:00AM – 3:00PM and 5:00PM – 9:00PM
- Must be available for some weekends and holidays
- Flexible schedule based on business needs
