Position Summary
Mt. Olive Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable K2 Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 2 years old. This position requires patience, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times while maintaining active engagement.
- Assist children with toileting, handwashing, meals, and other daily care routines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
- Complete daily classroom documentation and communicate effectively with parents.
- Follow all MOELC policies, Georgia licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Director, Assistant Director, and fellow staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
- Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.
