What You’ll Do

As a line cook and crew member at Moe’s Southwest Grill, your day-to-day includes:

• Grilling chicken, steak, and pork fresh throughout the shift
• Building burritos, bowls, tacos, and quesadillas to order on the line
• Working the register and handling cash and card transactions accurately
• Prepping fresh ingredients — cutting, portioning, and stocking the line
• Keeping the restaurant clean — dining room, line stations, dishes, trash
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and Moe’s quality standards

This is a scratch kitchen — we grill proteins fresh and there’s real cooking involved, not just assembly. You’ll work around grills, steam, and hot surfaces.

When the lunch rush hits, the line moves fast. Guests are watching you build their food. You need to be accurate, quick, and friendly at the same time. When it’s slow, you prep, clean, and restock. There is no standing around.

You don’t need restaurant experience. You don’t need a stacked resume. Here’s what actually matters:

• Reliable: You show up on time, every shift. If something comes up, you call before your shift — not during.
• Honest: When you mess up, you own it. No excuses, no blaming.
• Coachable: You take direction without getting defensive. You learn our way.
• Tough: The line gets loud and the pace gets intense. You push through the hard shifts, not just the easy ones.
• Team Player: You help without being asked. Dishes, restocking, wiping stations — because the team needs it.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and move for 4–8 hours per shift
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Work around grills, steam, hot surfaces, and kitchen equipment
• Work in a fast-paced, guest-facing restaurant environment

Schedule and Hours

This is a part-time position. Hours will typically be 8–15 per week (1–3 shifts). We cannot guarantee more than that, and this role is not a path to full-time hours.

If you need 25 hours per week to pay your bills, this isn’t the right fit. This role works best for students, people with another job, or anyone who genuinely wants a few solid shifts a week.

• Available at least 2–3 days per week, including at least one weekend day
• Open to closing shifts
• Willing to stay up to 30 minutes past your scheduled end if the shift needs it
• If your availability is changing soon (new semester, sports, second job) — just tell us upfront
