Auto Body Technician

Full Job Description

Modzelewski’s Auto Body Works Inc. has immediate openings for dedicated, kind, and caring people who are detail oriented. Looking for an A or B Technician. This technician will help our very busy and fast growing company.

Job Requirements:

• Experience repairing vehicles with frame damage
• Replacing and repairing bolt on and weld on panels
• Knowledge of structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement and some mechanical work
• Knowledge of OEM proper repair procedures, and where to locate the procedures to achieve a proper repair
• Ability to work with Mig and Spot welders
• Ability to repair/replace Aluminum
• Meet or exceed company’s requirements for tech efficiency, cycle time (to keep vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery) and return rate
• Work and communicate with production manager and estimators on the vehicle repair status, including supplements
• Utilize all required safety equipment, follows proper repair procedures, and adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
• Keep personal work area organized and clean, returns tools and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

• ICAR, ASE and OEM training preferred
• History of working independently and in a team environment
• Complies with manufacturer and dealer safety guidelines and standards
• Ability to effectively communicate with others
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and work orders
• Attention to detail, ability to operate in a team setting, positive attitude to mentor/build a team
• Ability to produce in a performance driven environment

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability

• Danbury, CT 06810: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Auto body repair: 1 year (Preferred)
