Field Safety Representative

Description: 

The Field Safety Representative will manage the entire safety program from creation to implementation of new processes and management of the current safety standards. You’ll be working with like-minded peers to ensure each team member feels supported and informed.  This is what the ModDrop stands for. Responsibilities:

The Field Safety Representative will develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. The Field Safety Representative works closely with the field and helps create OSHA compliant programs and prioritizes the safety of all employees. 

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Detailed communication skills

• Strong background in Safety.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and policies.

• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 required.

• Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Ability to multitask highly preferred.

Position Requirements:

• Work in cooperation with the Human Resources Department on Workers’ Comp cases.

• Inspects sites to identify safety, health, and environmental risks

• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures

• Develops and implements companywide safety program

• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics

• Monitors compliance with safety procedures

• Ensures material safety data sheets (MSDSs) are maintained and accessible.

• Maintains records of recordables, near misses, and loss of time

• Reviews and updates Job Safety Analysis documentation 

• Performs other duties as assigned 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
