- GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisor will oversee the production process in the fulfillment department to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of production workers and ensuring that all safety, quality, and production standards are met.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of production workers to ensure the efficient and timely production of products specifically measuring and achieving UPPH targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure that quality standards are met and that products are produced in accordance with customer requirements.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and supplies are available to support production requirements.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Monitor production performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Track changeovers and reduce changeover times targeting zero time lost to changeover
- Train and develop production employees to improve their skills and enhance their productivity.
- Ensure the team tracks all hour-by-hour production/downtime and develop mitigation actions to correct non-conformances.
- Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and quality to ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or automotive industry, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a production or fulfillment environment.
- Hands on manager with demonstrated track record to monitor assembly lines, overhead, line balancing, and monitoring/eliminating non-value add tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, quality control systems, and safety policies and procedures.
- Hands on experience with safety reporting, addressing safety hazards, and OHSA awareness/audit.
- Familiar with daily management (SQDIP), continuous improvement, and changeover reductions.
- Lean certification: Yellow or Green belt preferred or demonstrated Kaizen skill set.
- Scheduling: Knowledge of change over wheels, sequencing lines, and KANBAN
- Experience with ERP systems: Hands on experience with implementing technology improvements to streamline production process.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint and other data analysis tools.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
- General climate-controlled office environment/ Warehouse environment.
- Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use.
- Stress related to conflicting priorities and meeting schedule deadlines.
- Exposure to production, distribution area working conditions, including noise, and dust exposure and lift truck traffic.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to see, and speak, hear, write, and understand English and Spanish.
- Sustained attention to detail.
- Ability to read and analyze data and other written information.
- Average physical exertion required.
