MODUS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who is comfortable taking ownership of projects while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
• Design and engineer mechanical systems for a variety of building types, including HVAC, plumbing, and related systems
• Develop construction documents and technical specifications using Autodesk Revit
• Perform energy modeling and system analysis using Trane Trace 700 and/or Trace 3D Plus
• Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and client coordination
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring as appropriate
Qualifications
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in a consulting or design environment
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Experience with Trane Trace 700 and/or Trace 3D Plus preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team-based environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
